Newsletter September 2011

Dear Parents / Caregivers

ENROLMENTS FOR 2012

Last week I visited all our contributing schools and delivered our 2012 Prospectus / Enrolment Form. What wonderful groups of year 6 students.

I would like all enrolments in by the end of this term so I can finalize staffing for next year. If you know of anyone who wishes to enroll, please remind them.

OPEN DAYS

We had a great response.

Thank you for taking the time to visit us and see all the wonderful opportunities that are offered to your children.

The weather was great and so were our students.

These will be held on Monday 26th and Tuesday 27th September.

This is a chance for you to discuss with your child’s home base teacher the progress your child has made this year.

School closes at 12:50pm on both days.

Appointment forms will be sent home soon.

MUFTI DAY

Friday, 9th September - we will have a mufti day and sausage sizzle to celebrate the start of spring. No charge.

Usual dress rules apply.

Appropriate clothing - no bare midriffs, no gang regalia etc.

SPORTS NEWS

Two of our students were in the Wanganui netball rep teams that won the Skelsey Cup last month.

Tuupuhi Karaitiana – Year 8 and Donna Martin – Year 7, well done girls.

Netball has finished for this season – the 8B team came second in their grade – well done and an excellent effort from all the teams.

Our boys had a great day in Masterton at the super sport rugby, unfortunately not a winning year.

We are currently running a cricket academy with about 20 students attending.

Please contact us if your child is away from school.

The Ministry requires us to present a roll audit each term so they can identify students at risk in the community through truanting.
